Additional Property Attributes

The Village of Milan is interested in using the property for the Milan Business Park with mixed use development including industrial, manufacturing/warehousing, office, commercial, residential, and open space. A portion of the property contains a former a golf course that shut down over 10 years ago. The property is mostly vacant, flat land. There are several structures located on the property associated with the former golf course. RECs: The property contains a structure that appeared to be a shallow vault that was covered with plywood and bolted over the pit. The plywood had dark oily staining on the surface and it is unknown what, if anything, is under the plywood. Because of the unknown status of any hazardous materials being stored in the shed or under the plywood, it is the consultant's opinion that the metal shed and covered pit are an REC for the subject property. The second finding is for the materials of the building located on the subject property. The golf course compound was built sometime in the late 1950s, and therefore may have asbestos containing materials (ACM) in features such as ceiling insulation, pipe insulation, floor tile mastic, or other parts of the structures. In addition, due to the age of the structures, there is a potential for lead-based paint (LBP) to be present.
