Additional Property Attributes

The acquisition of this property by Rod Pickett, owner of Blu s Barbershop, allows a minority small business owner to own the building where his business has been operating for several years. The other half of this property also has a minority woman owned business and there are six fully leased lofts on the upper two stories. No one was displaced, commercial or residential tenants, by the purchase of this property and all tenants were informed of their rights under URA. The Ph. I identified potential ACM/LBP/PCB's but no rehab or demo activities were to take place as part of this acquisition so it was determined that if/when future plans for the site building to be renovated or demolished, then asbestos and LBP inspections should be completed and that any electrical ballasts located within the site should be inspected for PCB's prior to changing or removal. Mr. Pickett was required to sign off that he acknowledged this requirement and all tenants within the building were provided LBP guidance.
