Additional Property Attributes

The site is a former filling station with three underground storage tanks. Based on historical use of the site as a filling station with three apparent gasoline tanks in 1951 there is a potential for a petroleum hydrocarbon release at the site. Petroleum odors were discovered during utility excavations along the east property boundary and this represents a REC to the site. In addition, the south adjoining property operated as a filling station in 1951 and represents a REC. The purpose of the Analysis of Brownfields Cleanup Alternative (ABCA) is to present viable cleanup alternatives based on site-specific conditions, technical feasibility, and preliminary cost evaluations. The evaluation of cleanup alternatives for the Aunt B's North site includes the removal of two underground storage tanks (USTs) and different options for the petroleum-contaminated soil and groundwater. Based on the recommended cleanup alternatives for removal of the USTs and petroleum-contaminated soil and groundwater, the estimated total cleanup cost is $364,510 which includes site enrollment in the MDNR BVCP.
