Additional Property Attributes

Parcel A consisted of undeveloped land from at least 1915 until 1921, when it was improved with a bank and six storefronts. Between 1941 and 1951, the bank was expanded to encompass two of the storefronts. In December 1964, four of the storefronts were razed resulting in the existing building (i.e., Subject Building 1). Currently, Parcel A is developed with a commercial building that is vacant and an associated asphalt parking lot.

The storefront formerly located at 8810 E. Forest Avenue (historical address) was occupied as a clothes cleaner from at least 1926 until at least 1962. The storefront formerly located at 8824 E. Forest Avenue (historical address) was occupied as a gasoline service station in 1926, a tire business from at least 1931 until at least 1935, and a refrigeration repair business in 1940. The storefront formerly located at 8804 E. Forest Avenue (historical address) was occupied as a manufacture chemist in 1935. The storefront formerly located at 8818-22 E. Forest Avenue (historical address) was occupied as a welder's service and supply company from at least 1951 until at least 1962. The storefront formerly located at 8812 E. Forest Avenue (historical address) was occupied as a cleaners and dyers from at least 1954 until at least 1962.

Parcel B was developed with dwellings between 1913 and 1923 and with a laundry in 1924. In 1941, an office addition was constructed to the laundry. In 1956, another addition was constructed to the laundry. Between 1956 and 1957, a dwelling was razed and in 1959 an addition was constructed to the laundry. Between 1961 and 1967, the remaining dwelling was razed and in 1969 another addition was constructed to the laundry resulting in the existing building (i.e., Subject Building 2). Currently, Parcel B is developed with a commercial building that is vacant and an associated asphalt parking lot.
