Additional Property Attributes

Based on historical documentation, the site was initially developed between 1894 and 1910 with a cement block manufacturer in the western portion of the site. The former building was demolished, and the current building was constructed in 1927. The site was occupied by various bottling manufacturers, warehouses, and other light industrial operations from 1927 to 2011 and has been vacant since 2011. The site is located in the 30th Street Industrial Corridor. The City of Milwaukee has undertaken an ambitious effort to transform the 30th Street Corridor, which has seen significant social and economic challenges into a modern employment center and economic hub for Milwaukee, the region, and beyond. Many ongoing and completed city plans guide these efforts. The assessment of the site will provide valuable information that will assist with redevelopement efforts.
