Additional Property Attributes

The property, which encompasses 5.7 acres, is on the south side of W. Catalpa Street and west of South (S.) Grant Avenue. The property contains a vacant 2,407-squarefoot (ft2) one-story brick residence with a basement and partial second story. The subject property also includes a cinder block outbuilding with two overhead doors and an attic, and a metal shed with two overhead doors and a mezzanine. The two outbuildings are currently unused and contain miscellaneous scrap materials and debris. Plans for future use of the subject property include construction of a 41-unit apartment building on the western portion of the property. The current buildings at the eastern portion of the property are anticipated to be demolished. The estimated redevelopment cost is approximately $10 million, which would leverage approximately 5 new jobs.
