Property Highlights

In 1915 the construction of the high school was approved and the land set aside. Construction on the 26,000 square foot structure was completed in 1921. This building operated as a high school until 1988 when the new Calhoun County High School and Middle School were built. In 1952 a 10,000 square foot structure housing a gymnasium, cafeteria and other rooms was built beside it with a connecting corridor. The property has changed ownership a few times since being decommissioned as a high school in 1988 but has remained vacant and not in use.
