Additional Property Attributes

This property consists of a .85 acre site in Deming, New Mexico, which has had a few different commercial uses throughout its history. The site once housed a petroleum filling station with the final fuel tanks removed in 1976. The Phase II report confirmed there was no petroleum contamination detected in ground water or soil at the site. A dry cleaner was located adjacent to the lot, but no chlorinated solvents were detected in media sampled. Most recently, the site consisted of a two-story motel (with around 40 rooms), a restaurant and a caretakers quarters. The motel was operational for around 50 years but has since fallen into a state of disrepair.
The Phase II report revealed the presence of ACM and LBP in the building materials. These hazardous building materials will have to be removed prior to renovation of the structure. The City of Deming intends to renovate this site for use as transitional housing.
