Additional Property Attributes

The Site consists of a 1,900-square-foot community garden constructed on the southeast section of South Lakewood Elementary School in Lakewood, Colorado. Before the area was redeveloped into a community garden in 2022, the Site was an asphalt-covered play area adjacent to the school building. The Site is within a primarily residential neighborhood in Lakewood, Colorado. Arsenic was detected above the EPA Residential Regional Screening Levels (RSL) in all soil samples at the Site. According to a toxicologist with EPA, "The concentration of arsenic in soil samples exceeds conservative residential soil RSLs but falls well within the range of concentrations typical in the Denver area".
