U.S. EPA tasked START under contract 68-HE-0519-D0005, Task Order Line Item No. F0107-0001EI233 to support the City of Indianapolis with a Targeted Brownfields Assessment. The environmental assessment findings will be used to determine how to proceed in the redevelopment of the property. Arsenic and total chromium were detected in soil samples at concentrations exceeding the IDEM R2 published Levels. Naphthalene and tetrachloroethene were detected in groundwater samples at concentrations exceeding IDEM R2 Published Levels. Soil gas samples did not contain VOCs exceeding IDEM R2 Published Levels.
