Additional Property Attributes

The Site is improved with the 12,294 SF former Oregon Army National Guard Armory Building and a 3,000 SF storage shed. The Burns Paiute Tribe is acquiring the property from Oregon Military Department. The Tribe intends to renovate the former armory building for their IT network and wellness center. Due to the age of the Armory buildings, hazardous building materials (asbestos-containing materials, lead based paint) and bird droppings are present that pose a risk to workers during renovation or demolition of the buildings and site occupants. Prior to renovating the building, these hazardous building materials and the bird droppings must be removed or encapsulated. Limited Phase II sampling is needed to address some suspect building materials presumed to contain asbestos. An ABCA is needed for cleanup of the hazardous substances.
