Under the Superfund Technical Assessment and Response Team (START) contract 68HE0519D0005, Task Order - Task Order Line-Item Number F0107-0001EC260, USEPA is supporting the project through its Targeted Brownfields Assessment program. The site is planned to be redeveloped as a parking lot for use by the new Senior Center. Soil samples contained lead and benzo(a)pyrene at concentrations exceeding MI EGLE direct contact criteria. Groundwater contained concentrations of lead exceeding MI EGLE drinking water criteria.
