The Site is 6.46 acres in size and is located in a government complex. The Site operated as an entertainment venue and convention center from 1981 until 2013 for a variety of uses including theatre, banquets, pageants, and basketball. Currently, a vacant 24,472 square foot former convention center building that has been unutilized or underutilized since 2013 sits on the Site. Redevelopment plans have yet to be determined but in the near-term, demolition of the on-Site building is planned in order to eliminate blight.
