Additional Property Attributes

Historical: The site was a cannery and a school before becoming a rubber fabricator from 1954 to 1972 and then BF Goodrich factory in 1972 through 1995. The factory built river inflatables using rubber coated with Dupont neoprene. When owned by BF Goodrich, the Grantsville plant produced materials for the military such as aviation escape ramps, survival rafts, life savers, and others. There was also a machine shop that produced metal d-rings and valves. The site was closed in 1996 and used for storage until 2011 and some recreational use. Reuse: Recreation redevelopment or future use as a small business incubator.
