Additional Property Attributes

The City is in the process of making a loan to an affordable housing developer to acquire and rehabilitate the currently dilapidated Harbor Park Apartments project. At 296 units, this development is the City's largest multifamily housing project and is serious need of repair and improved management. The City's loan will make the acquisition and rehabilitation possible, and will vastly improve the living conditions for current and future residents of the project. The Phase I was completed to satisfy the City's due diligence requirements for making the loan to the developer of the project. (PPF - Harbor Park Apartments, 1/31/07)

Former Use: The property was first development in the early 1960s as a 296-unit aparmtent complex. The complex was originally purchased and renovated by its current owner in the 1990s, however since then the project has fallen into a state of disrepair. The City is working with an affordable housing deveper that will purchase and rehabilitate the property.
