Additional Property Attributes

A Phase I was completed to update prior assessment work for this future City park property. The assessment was needed urgently by the City's Parks and Community Development Departments as a condition to moving forward with a residential development project located adjacent to the property. The future park will serve residents of the Ironworks residential project along with other Triangle redevelopment area projects. (PPF - Ironworks Park Block, 1/31/07)

Former Use: The property was formerly used to store construction equipment and was owned by Golden Eagle Express/Roadway Trucking. This facility was deomlished and the property was cleared to make way for a 196-unit residential development. A portion of this property (the area covered by the ESA) was designated for the development of a city park.
