Additional Property Attributes

The Phase I was completed to accompany a city parks grant application to the State of California to support the development of the city's River Walk Park along the Sacramento River. The city was successful in obtaining the park grant funds, which will result in the redevelopment of a portion of the property covered by the Phase I to approximately 0.77 acres of greenspace. (PPF - River Walk Property, 7/26/07)

Former Use: Historical research dating back to 1907 indicates that the property was used primarily as a petroleum bulk storage facility by Coast Oil and later by Texas Oil Company and Texaco Oil Company. Other owners/users include a locomotive maintenance facility by Union Pacific Railroad. (PPF - River Walk Property, 7/26/07)
