Additional Property Attributes

This property was studied as part of an area-wide Phase I for the West End of West Capitol Avenue, an area of historical industrial use that is targeted for redevelopment. The City is completing Phase Is in this area to provide information to prospective developers in the area, along with the existing property owner. (PPF - 4201 West Capitol Avenue, 10/22/07)

Former Use: The property was developed in the late 1950s and has been in use for industrial purposes since at least the 1960s. The property once contained a septic system, and there is no record of abandonment for this system. Although evidence on the property does not suggest the presence of underground storage tanks, the property�s history of use by van lines and trucking firms would suggest potential for USTs. The property is generally unpaved, which also may suggest surface soil contamination.
