Additional Property Attributes

A Phase I was completed and a Phase II was initiated under BF-97180301-0. The Phase II and hazardous building materials survey were completed under 2B-9611001-1. Asbestos and lead were identified in the site's building materials.

Former Use: The site consists of one approximate 0.46-acre lot developed with a two-story building. The buidling was originally constructed as a single-story, single-family residence in another area of Richmond. In 1940, the structure was relocated to the site, placed on stilts, and an automobile service center was constructed on the first floor. The first floor level and eastern street side of the building was reportedly used for automobile service and filling station purposes until the mid 1960s when commercial operations ceased and the first floor was used soley for storage purposes. The building has been uninhabited and unmaintained since the late 1990s, when the second floor residence was reportedly vacated.
