Additional Property Attributes

An initial Phase I was conducted in 2006. According to the Phase I report, the site was the location of a former King Gas & Oil Company gas station, but is now a vacant lot. This site is adjacent to another 104(k) subgrant site - 6698 Page Avenue - also a former gas station. Two USTs from the former station appear to be still present on site, which suggests that contamination from these USTs may also be present. This, and the adjacent former gas station, were the only RECs identified at this site. Although the Phase I report was of good quality overall, the aerial photos and Sanborn maps referenced in the report were not included.

A Phase I/II was conducted in 2008. The Phase I Assessment update identified the following recognized environmental conditions: 1) The site was formerly used as a gasoline station with aboveground storage tanks (ASTs) and underground storage tanks (USTs). 2) USTs may still be present on site. 3) An adjacent property to the west was a former Amoco Service Station.

The Phase II assessment did not identify levels of contaminants in soil above target levels. Lead was identified in the groundwater sample at a level that exceeds the target level for domestic use of groundwater.
