Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The past two previous owners both operated a crab shell processing plant on the site that would kiln dry seafood waste and then crush it into dust for livestock feed and fertilizers. This property is located in an area zoned for heavy manufacturing and is surrounded by other industrial uses. Mr. John Graham is the current property owner and was also the operator of the crab processing plant. He purchased the property in 1973 from the Hunt family who also operated a crab shell processing plant at the site. The use of a kiln, onsite heavy machinery and maintenance, the storage of seafood waste and an unknown history of past uses contributed to the determination to study the property for potential environmental impacts.
