Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The Property is currently an occupied facility consisting of a maintenance garage with two storage area additions. Wooded areas and dense vegetation is located along the eastern Property line and southern portions of the Property. Dense vegetation also makes up areas west of the facility. According to Mr. Michael Haverstock, the Town of Marengo currently utilizes the maintenance garage for the storage of equipment and supplies. Several containers such as 55-gallon drums, 5-gallon buckets, and small cans were observed on the Property. Dumping of equipment, containers, and construction debris including scrap l, wood, concrete, etc. was observed along the eastern portion of the Property. Evidence of leaking was observed on the ground surface near several of the 55-gallon drums located on the Property. Dark staining was also observed on the concrete floors of the maintenance garage area. National Earth Products currently owns the Property and acquired the Property from the Town of Marengo in 1986. The Property appeared to be undeveloped and agricultural land prior to industrial uses.
