Additional Property Attributes

The demolition of the blighted unsafe building is included in the cleanup funding. This project is part of the 4.5 million dollar NSP project bundled with the CORE building.

Former Use: The Property consists of an approximately 0.06-acre lot improved with an approximately 1,425 square foot commercial building that is currently vacant. The Property building was formerly utilized as a dry cleaning facility. The interior portions of the Property buildings include offices and storage areas. Portions of the Property not occupied by the building consisted of grassy areas and a sidewalk. The Property building was observed to be in poor condition during the site reconnaissance, with portions of the roof having collapsed. The current owner was listed as Indiana Jayces, Inc., whom acquired the Property in 2007 from the Huntingburg Junior Chamber of Commerce, Inc. The Property appeared to operate as a dry cleaning facility from circa 1940 to the mid 1990s
