Additional Property Attributes

The property owner indicated during interviews that multiple buried drums of paint waste were buried at the property near the rear of the main building. A geophysical survey was conducted by the Iowa Geological and Water Survey on the property to determine the location of the drums and to prevent Phase II ESA activities from impacting said drums. The report showed anomalies at the property and the Phase II investigation is scheduled for Summer 2011. The Phase II ESA encountered petroleumcontaminants above the statewide standard. Additional sampling occurred in September 2011 to determine the extent and limit of contamination. The results were submitted to EPA and IDNR for review and conconcurrance.

Former Use: The property was purchased by Bryant Roofing Company in 1978 and has served as a roofing company business since that time. There are two large warehouse structures on the site used for storage for the roofing business.
