Additional Property Attributes

The Phase I ESA revealed evidence that the subject property was used for vehicle and equipment storage and as an automobile maintenance and salvage yard since the 1950s. Such activities often utilize Polynuclear Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs), polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), metals, and Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) which may have impacted to soil and/or groundwater. A Phase II investigation found soils were impacted with lead, and semi-volatile organic compounds (SVOCs). VOCs in soil vapor was also identified. The area of lead and SVOC impacted soils was excavated and disposed of. The source of VOCs in soil vapor may remain beneath the site structure. Further assessment is needed following demolition of existing site structure.
