Additional Property Attributes

The phase II ESA for 333 Ninth Street phase II was completed July 29. Arsenic, benzo a pyrene, cadmium, lead, and mercury were detected above the most restrictive Tier 1 soil remedial ive. Lead was detected above the most restrictive Tier 1 groundwater remediation ive. The property owner has entered the site into the IL EPA Site Remediation Program in order to receive a No Further Remediation letter.

Former Use: The property was developed in the mid to late 19th century as a boiler manufacturer. The propety has been a machine shop fabricator since at least 1938.
