Additional Property Attributes

The City of Blue Island acquired this property through Cook Countys South Suburban Tax Reactivation Program. City Staff have attempted to secure funding for redevelopment of this property through several grant funding opportunities - NSP & FEMA. Currently, the City is working with a local grocer - a successful chainlet based in Chicago Southland - to build a grocery store at this site, which is located in somewhat of a food desert.
