Site located in the heart of Blue Islands South Station TOD Redevelopment Area. City & various consultants have contributed significant staff time towards redevelopment planning of this site, including several site visits, business relocation plans and the creation of a new TIF district. There is a potential lead-based paint, asbestos and PCB-containing fluids to be present on-site, no sampling conducted to confirm presence. No VOCs, PNAs, or RCRA metal constituents were identified in soils during Phase II activities. Lead was detected in groundwater above IEPA GROs.
