Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The Site is in a commercially developed area in the northeast-central portion of the City. Site improvements on the approximately 1.55-acre site include a retail/office building, three lumber sheds, a wood-d warehouse with an attached lumber shed, a 10-space customer parking lot, and a small, triangular-shaped landscaped area in the southwest corner of the Site. The Site is paved with asphalt except for the landscaped area. The Site is surrounded by a concrete sidewalk and trees maintained by the City. The Site is currently vacant and unused. Office and yard equipment, merchandise, and stock materials have been removed from the Site. The Site was acquired by Mr. Brad Pence of P&B Pence LLC from Whitsell LLC in December 2005. According to Mr. Pence, the Site operated as a lumber sales facility for approximately 50 to 60 years. The Site was operated as Keith Brown Building Materials from 2002 until approximately 2008, when the Site was closed. According to Mr. Pence, the Site has been vacant for the last 2 years. The onsite retail/office building, wood-d warehouse, and lumber sheds were constructed at least as early as 1957, although the Site may have been used for storing lumber prior to 1950.
