Additional Property Attributes

The site is the subject of municipal redevelopment plans. Currently owned by a private owners, the City of Collinsville has targeted this site as a parcel requiring environmental assessment within a mulicipal redevelopment corridor. The redevelopments will include street and curb improvements, new streetscapes, promotion of retail and service businesses, and the establishment of a Business District. According to the subject site owner, two 8,000-gallon gasoline USTs were installed on the subject site between 1963-1964 and were removed in 1974. No further information is available regarding these USTs or the potential impact on subsurface soil or groundwater. Due to the frequency of uncontrolled releases from UST systems and the lack of evidence of a clean closure, these USTs represent a recognized environmental condition to the subject site. Additional investigation would be required to further evaluate this issue.

Former Use: Based on available historical information, the subject site has been residentially or commercially developed since at least 1937. The subject site has been occupied by Collinsville Car Wash, Zamarioni Enterprises Inc., and Dot Liquor Store. However, according to the site owner, two 8,000-gallon gasoline USTs were installed between 1963-1964. These USTs were removed in 1974, and no releases were noted during removal.
