Additional Property Attributes

This site was developed as affordable housing by a local housing developer and was financed in part by SWIDA. The developer has met with financial difficulties, and SWIDA is assisting with the transfer of the site to the East St. Louis Housing Authority. No RECs were noted in association with this property. The Housing Authority requested that a letter be written to the State Historic Preservation Office SHPO to satisfy their HUD requirements. SWIDA funded this task.

Former Use: The predominant improvement to the subject site is a one-story residence constructed on a concrete slab. Based on available historical information, the subject site has been residentially developed since at least 1952. Prior to development, the site was undeveloped from at least 1912 to 1934.
