Additional Property Attributes

A Preliminary Environmental Assessment and Supplemental Site Investigation was conducted and elevated levels of arsenic, up to 354 mg/kg, was detected in surface soils in the southwestern end of the site, the vicinity of the former filming processing area. A Removal Action Workplan (RAW) was prepared and implemented to address arsenic impacted soil. During the removal action, approximately 620 tons of soil was removed. The soil was classified as non-hazardous waste and disposed at the Simi Valley Landfill and Chemical Waste Management Recycling Center in Simi Valley, California. Post removal confirmation sampling results indicate the removal action goals and ives have been achieved. Therefore, the site no longer poses a significant threat to human health or environment due to arsenic impacted soil. DTSC approved the RAC Report and certified that all necessary response actions have been completed. No further removal/remedial action is necessary for the site.
