Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The subject property consisted of undeveloped, lightly vegetated land from at least 1938 until original portion of the existing building was constructed in 1962. The subject property was operated by Ger-May, an aluminum and steel door closure manufacturing plant from 1963 through approximately 1990. During that time, operations on-site included: machine pressing, drilling, electrostatic painting, and trichloroethylene TCE degreasing of parts. Two additions were constructed on the building during that time. In 1990, Ger-May vacated the subject building, and Nabco moved in. Operations at Nabco included manufacturing small parts for automobile starters and alternators. Nabco operated at the subject property through 2004 when it was vacated. Spare Space, LLC purchased the property in 2004 and has leased the building out to various companies including: Liberty Dairy, Reed City Powerline, and the Reed City Public Schools. All tenants utilized the subject building for storage of various overflow materials.
