Additional Property Attributes

Property has been cleared of one blighted commercial building. One residential structure and two commercial structures remain on the property.

Former Use: The subject property consisted of undeveloped, densely vegetated land until the 1940s when commercial and residential development began. Four buildings were constructed on the subject property, three along South Broadway Avenue and one along East Lynndon Street. The structure along East Lynndon Street was utilized as a residence from construction through the 1970s or 1980s when it was abandoned. The three structures along South Broadway Avenue were reportedly utilized as a fur store northernmost building, motel middle building, and restaurant/bar/speakeasy southern building. The subject property was also utilized as a bus pick-up and drop-off point. The fur store closed in the 1950s, and the structure was likely utilized as a motel from that time until it was vacated. All of these structures were vacated in the 1970s or 1980s, and have remained vacant since that time.
