Additional Property Attributes

This is an 1800s vintage multi-story wood residence that was partially damaged by a fire and rendered uninhabitable. The age of the building indicates the potential presence of hazardous building materials. There is a cellar petroleum storage tank. Two out buildings are stuffed full of miscellaneous materials. Some of these materials appear to be building maintenance chemicals and automotive fluids. One apparently empty wooden box was labelled "Atlas Explosives". There is a considerable area of stained soil in front of the garage buildings which suggests non-tidy vehicle or equipment repair activities in the past. The School District acquired the site in Summer or Fall of 2012 and had the site buildings demolished. DES has no information to indicate a hazardous building materials or Phase II assessment were ever completed.

Former Use: This is a residential property with an 1800s 2.5 story house and two outbuildings. The age of the home and outbuildings indicates the potential for hazardous building materials. There is evidence of miscellaneous chemical and automotive fluid storage in the outbuildings. Any empty wooden box labelled "Atlas Explosives" indicates the potential for old explosives to be present. Stained soil in front of the garage indicates past vehicle or equipment repair activities.
