Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: Based on information obtained during the Phase I ESA, the earliest available records for the subject property were 1884 and the property had already been developed for commercial purposes. As a result, the use of the subject property prior to 1884 could not be determined. Between 1884 and sometime during the mid to late 1930s, between three and five buildings were located on the subject property, which were utilized for the operation of various commercial retail and service businesses. Sometime during the 1930s the original building was demolished and the lot was vacant until the current structure was built. In 1939, the current building was constructed and utilized for the operation of a Woolworth Department store, which remained until the late 1960s. From the late 1960s through at least January 13, 2010, when the Phase I ESA site reconnaissance activities were completed, the subject property was operated by various commercial retail and service businesses.
