Former Use: Based on information obtained during the Phase I ESA, the earliest available records for the subject property were 1884 and the property had already been developed for commercial/residential purposes. As a result, the use of the subject property prior to 1884 could not be determined. Based on the review of several historical Sanborn Fire Insurance Maps and conversations with property owners and area residents, each parcel that comprises the subject property appears to have been developed since at least 1884 either as residential and/or retail/service businesses. At the time the Phase I ESA site reconnaissance activities were completed on May 13, 2010, each of the parcels were occupied with first floor retail businesses sporting goods/bait shop and party supplies. Each of the buildings also contained vacant second story residential apartments. The second floor space at the 208 South Main Street parcel was being utilized as storage space for party supplies. The third parcel that comprises the subject property was developed as a residence until sometime during the mid to late 1920�s but prior to 1938 based on aerial photograph review it was demolished and has since remained vacant. At the time the Phase I ESA site reconnaissance activities were completed on October 6, 2010, the subject property consisted of a vacant parcel the contained a gravel/asphalt parking area with bordering scrub brush and grass.
