Additional Property Attributes

The Site is currently unimproved land utilized as open park space. Historically the Site has been the Vannoy Shingle Mill in the 1880s, the Carlock Crate Factory in the 1890s, the Winnsboro Cotton Oil Mill (cooking oil) between 1900 and 1920, Farmers Cotton Gin No. 2 between the 1930s and late 1940s, and a farmer's market site between 1973 and 1984. In addition to these uses, a City of Winnsboro water supply well was located on the Site between the 1940s and the 1970s. The drainage ditch currently on the eastern boundary of the Site was constructed, by improving a natural drainage, in 1939.
