Additional Property Attributes

Previous assessment work was done on this property, and the Regional Industrial Development Corporation (RIDC) owner, completed an Act 2 Liability Release for the soil. Additional assessment work was required for the groundwater, and the EPA Assessment Grant was used for further groundwater assessment. A local robotics firm has committed to an expansion on the site. Following the this environmental assessment, an Act 2 Liability Release was obtained for the groundwater, conforming to residential standards.

Former Use: The property was used for steel manufacturing and processing since the 1900s. The previous owner, Heppenstall Steel, manufactured razors and knife blades at the facility. The property currently has one 30,000 square foot building that houses several small tenants. The remainder of the site is vacant land. The property owner anticipates a mix of re-uses including office, light industrial, and residential. The 30,000 sq.ft. building was redeveloped and leased by a robotics firm, Carnegie Robotics.
