Additional Property Attributes

The property was acquired by a local developer with plans for both office and light industrial use on this 16 acre parcel. There are three existing buildings on the site - one of them was built in l929 and is eligible the for the Federal Historic Tax Credit program. The developer has renovated the first two buildings on the site, which are now partially occupied. The developer is still raising funds to renovate the larger historic property. The environmental assessment noted asbestos in several isolated areas, which are not occupied. Developer is raising funds to abate the asbestos in the isolated areas.

Former Use: As the name implies, the property was used for offices and research facilities by Alcoa. The property consists of 3 buildings totalling over 200,000 square feet. Alcoa sold the site to a local buyer in 2004, and the property has sat vacant. Following the assessment work, the property was recently sold to a local developer, who has begun renovations.
