Additional Property Attributes

These properties are in downtown Pittsburgh. They are former retail stores that were purchased by the Urban Redevelopment Authority for future redevelopment. Phase I and Phase II work was completed on the properties and no further action is required. However, before the buildings can be demolished, a Hazardous Materials Survey was needed which revealed the presence of lead based paint and asbestos which were remediated prior to demolition. The property was purchased by a major regional developer, Milhaus, and they constructed a mixed-use office, parking garage on the site.

Former Use: Since the turn of the last Century, the properties were used for retail uses. The properties were acquired by the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh about five years ago for future redevelopment. Downtown Pittsburgh was experiencing high office occupancy rates. Millcraft Investments, a major regional developer, completed construction of 107 million dollar mixed use office, hotel, retail, garage complex on this site.
