Additional Property Attributes

BTA conducted for the City of Lyons for a property that is proposed for redevelopment. RECs identified as potential petroleum contaminants associated with historical use as a filling station and an automotive dealership and potential groundwater contamination from a nearby upgradient actively monitored Leaking Underground Storage Tank (LUST) site and other adjacent properties used as filling stations. Additionally, three USTs were identified during the site reconnaissance. A Phase II was conducted on May 31, 2012 in conjunction with tank removal activities. Results of the Phase II indicated TPH contamination in the soil and VOC contamination in the groundwater. The site has been transferred to the KDHE UST Section for further assessment and evaluation.

Former Use: A filling station from approximately 1941 to 1998 and an automotive dealership from 1998 to 2011. Vacant from 2011 to present.
