Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The Lakeshore Mall is part of both the Oehler & Guenthers Subdivision and the Harbor View Addition Subdivision, which were platted in 1915 and 1926, respectively. Leo Murphy and Charles Tikalsky reportedly owned the majority of property comprising the Lakeshore Mall prior to or by 1927. The Lakeshore Mall property and Outparcel Parking Lot were both owned by Maritime Properties at the time the Mall was constructed (ca. 1979). Prior to development as the Lakeshore Mall and Outparcel Parking Lot in 1979, historic records indicate Site use was primarily agricultural; though a prior report references use of the Site for food processing by the Wisconsin Pea Canners Co. in the 1920s. The Lakeshore Mall property and Outparcel Parking Lot were transferred to Edgewater Plaza, LP and back to Maritime Properties in the mid/late 1980s. Although records of the transfer have not been reviewed, it appears likely that Maritime Properties sold the parcels to Expansion Commercial, LLC sometime after September 9, 2003. Expansion Commercial, LLC sold the property to Lakeshore Mall, LLC (current owner) on October 28, 2005. Neither environmental liens nor activity use restrictions have been identified for the Lakeshore Mall and Outparcel Parking Lot.
