Additional Property Attributes

The property has sat largely vacant for 20 years following the closing of the former PLE Railroad. We have been working with a developer for several years on a redevelopment plan. The developer completed the purchase of the property is in the process of developing a clean-up plan leading to an Act 2 Liability Release from the State DEP. CSX Transportation is a party to the consent agreement with the State DEP. CSX purchased a portion of this property and constructed an intermodal terminal on this site.

Former Use: Up until the late l980's, the property was used a railyard and locomotive service area by the former PLE Railroad. We have been working with a local developer for the last three years, and the developer recently completed the acqusition of the property. The are pursuing an Act 2 Liability Release and plan to start construction in the Fall or next Spring on their first of several industrial/flex buildings. CSX recently announced their plans to construct an intermodal transportation facility for 50 million generating over 100 direct jobs.
