Additional Property Attributes

Project site consists of a former automotive facility. The property is in the initial stages of redevelopment for the construction of student housing associated with the UofM campus. The site will link housing to nearby commercial development.

Former Use: The subject property was unimproved land from prior to 1937 until the western portion of Building 1 and associated paved and landscaped areas were constructed in 1984. Building 2 and an addition to the eastern portion of Building 1 were constructed in 1992. The western portion of Building 1 and southwestern portion of Building 2 were used for automobile maintenance since at least the 1990s. Identified previous occupants of Building 1 include Children�s Palace and Ford Motor Co. Engineering. Identified previous occupants of Building 2 include Ford Motor Co. Engineering and Marriott at Fairlane (a restaurant). Currently, the subject buildings are unoccupied.
