Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: This area of Salem is along the North River and is part of a conceptual plan to support flood mitigation improvements and downtown development for the City of Peabody, immediately adjacent to this area. Flooding occurs in downtown Peabody due in part to lack of storage and watershed availability. The USACE is participating in design support for rive improvements to assist with flood mitigation, which will in turn support downtown development including brownfield sites along the North River. The data collected spanned several hundred feet along the North River from Peabody into Salem.
