Additional Property Attributes

Former Use: The 520 N. Main Street building has been used for various retail, office and commercial purposes since it was constructed, including automotive parts sales, grocery store, a printing shop, office supplies sales and a general contractors office. The original commercial building (524-528 N. Main Street) located on the west central portion the subject property was used for various commercial purposes, including auto repair, auto body repair, chrome plating, machine shop and radio repair. The existing 528 N. Main Street building was used for auto body repair from 1965 through about 2003, except for two years (1973-1975) when it was used as a muffler shop. The former filling station building (530 N. Main Street, which is part of the current 528 N. Main Street parcel) was used as gas station from at least 1921 through about 1953; was used as dry cleaners from about 1955 through about 1958; and was used as a used car sales office until 1968 when the building was demolished. Based on available information, a 1,000-gallon and two 500-gallon presumed gasoline USTs and one 500-gallon motor oil UST were associated with the gas station.
