The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) conducted a Phase I Brownfields Targeted Assessment (BTA) at the former Hoisington Cheese Plant property in Hoisington to fulfill the due diligence requirement for a pending property transaction and subsequent redevelopment of the property. Based on the Phase I report, no �Recognized Environmental Conditions� (RECs) were identified in connection with the subject property. No further action is warranted under the brownfields program and the property is cleared for redevelopment.

Former Use: undeveloped (prior to 1950's) Central Kansas Cheese Plant (1956 to 1987), personal office and storage space (1987 to present)
