Additional Property Attributes

This assessment has revealed no evidence of RECs in connection with the site except for the following: The site currently has a 2,000-gallon gasoline UST on the property. According to EDR records, the UST was installed in April 1999. The UST represents the potential for a material threat of a release of a petroleum product onto the site. Therefore, the gasoline UST is considered an REC.

Former Use: The site is located at 104 2nd Avenue NW & 212 2nd Street NW in Hickory, Catawba County, North Carolina (site). The site is currently developed with two vacant commercial buildings, one garage and an asphalt parking lot. Based on a review of reasonably ascertainable records, the site was initially developed in 1896 with a residential dwelling. The current commercial structures were built between 1939 and 1968. The site had been used by the Honeycutt familys contracting business since the 1939. The site was primarily used as office space and storage for the Electrical Service of North Carolina, owned by the Honeycutts.
