Additional Property Attributes

The Phase 2 activities focused on a vapor intrusion investigation, since soil and groundwater contamination had already been defined. The Phase 2 determined that VI was not an issue and the property was renovated and redeveloped into a new restaurant group with and outdoor courtyard and small office space. The new restaurants include the A-OK coffee shop, Barolo (a wine bar), and Julep (a southern foods restaurant) and opened in September 2015. Former Use: The property operated as a dry cleaner and furrier from 1924 to 1998 and was investigated for petroleum contamination from 1998 thru 2004, when it received closure from the WDNR. The property also housed a printing company for an unknown period of time. Six USTs were removed from the site between 1998 and 2001 and a soil and groundwater investigation was conducted on the property. The site received state PECFA funding and was closed in 2004.
